New technologies and concepts shine at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show

The 43rd edition of the Tokyo Motor Show was held from 22 November through 1 December 2013 at the waterfront Tokyo Big Sight venue, showcasing new products and advanced technologies from Japanese and worldwide automobile, motorcycle and auto parts manufacturers. Excellent turnout and a high level of visitor satisfaction attested to the success of the show, whose driving theme of innovation was encapsulated in its slogan 'Compete! And shape a new future'.

Smart mobility for the future experienced at Tokyo Motor Show

Following the enthusiastic response it generated at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show two years previously, the 'Smart Mobility City' exhibit returned to the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show to demonstrate to visitors how next-generation vehicles will interact with urban infrastructure and daily life in the not-too-distant future. Featuring displays, special events, test rides and panel discussions, this exhibit offered a look into how information and communications technology can be used to enhance safety, energy efficiency, convenience and 'connectivity' in personal mobility.

JAMA-CLEPA-MEMA Reception

On the occasion of the latest Tokyo Motor Show, JAMA hosted a reception for the members of the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and the US-based Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA). More than 50 representatives from the three organisations attended, with participants confirming the need to strengthen partnerships to promote growth, increased competitiveness, and greater efficiency in their supply chains in a globalised marketplace.
