Japanese Automakers’ 2012 Overseas Production Statistics
(Second Quarter and First Half Cumulative, Calendar 2012)

Overseas vehicle (passenger car, truck and bus) production by Japanese automakers in the second quarter of calendar 2012 totalled 4,087,695 units, up 147.5% from the same quarter in the previous year. This outcome reflects expanded local production in all regions during the quarter under review.
The results for the first half (January through June) of 2012 likewise reflect the rise in local production worldwide, with the total for that period finishing at 8,235,833 units, up 127.0% from the first half of 2011.
