Japanese Automakers' 2013 Overseas Production Statistics:
First Quarter Calendar 2013 and Cumulative Fiscal 2012

Overseas vehicle production by Japanese automakers in the first quarter of calendar year 2013 totalled 4,197,494 units, an increase of 1.2% from the same quarter in the previous year.  This outcome reflects their expanded local production worldwide, except in Europe, Africa, and Oceania, during the quarter under review.
Fiscal year 2012 (ending March 31, 2013) saw a growth in local production in all regions worldwide except Europe, with the total output of 15,876,187 units that year representing an increase of 14.9% over fiscal 2011.
